Up ‘til now, the blog’s been posted based on order in which visited………
I know, I’m completely out of sequence — hopelessly out of order. Julie’s going to lose her mind when she sees this. 😜
But I just checked something off my bucket list, and it was absolutely f***ing amazing.
I’m not going to say much here-let the pictures do the talking. Two days later, my heart is still on fire and soaring. And I can’t stop smiling.
We hiked, walked, and climbed through Lower Antelope Canyon—a slot canyon unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. If some of the photos look familiar, you’ve probably seen them as Windows screensavers.
The Eagle’s Head
I’ve seen some incredible things on this trip of a lifetime… but this one? This might just top the list.
Throughout this journey across our natural lands, I’ve felt the power and magic of the earth many times. But this place holds a deeper spirit — one I know I’ll call upon for strength and peace for the rest of my life.
I want to honor and thank the Navajo Nation and their people for protecting this sacred land. They believe the canyon holds a powerful spirit, one deserving of respect and humility. You can feel that belief in the soft-spoken grace of the guides, and in the quiet reverence they show as they walk these narrow passageways.
