Rocky Mountains
Wow.Wow.Wow.
The Rockies are beautiful.
Exploring the Rocky Mountains was like stepping into a postcard, but with a few more huffs and puffs as we rose in altitude. The majestic peaks, the cool pine-scented air, and the winding roads made me feel like I was in a nature documentary. Hiking was all uphill, but the reward was stunning.
Tara got up close and personal with a black tail deer at our campsite, who seemed just as surprised to see her as she was to see it.
Ali had the time of her life at a 25-acre dog park, embarking on a hike with her humans within the confines of the park, her favorite. Ali was able to run with other dogs, enjoy a leisurely sniff-fest, play in the creek, and try her paw at the obstacle course.
This journey highlighted the beauty and physical demands of mountain adventures, leaving the Pretty Penny Adventurers with lasting impressions, sore legs, and a newfound appreciation for the breathtaking yet oxygen-thin environment. Who knew that just breathing could be such a workout?
UPDATE: The steps and hot water heat are fixed! Hoping Pretty Penny doesn’t have any more surprises in store for us!
