America’s Highest Suspension Bridge: Soars 956 ft above the Arkansas River, offering thrill-inducing vistas

There are two ways access the bridge crossing, an easy walk, or an uphill hike. We hiked a few miles that day because on Pretty Penny Adventures we believe anything easy is overrated. The bridge itself is jaw‑dropping, spanning the Arkansas River with rafters looking like tiny specks far below.
Ziplining (and the Skycoaster), however, is not and will never be in Tara’s future. She does not enjoy dangling thousands of feet in the air for “fun.” That opinion was only reinforced when we watched a poor soul get stuck mid‑zip and have to be rescued. Call it a hard pass, thank you very much.
The PP Adventurers did, however, brave the gondola ride spanning the Arkansas River—and it was absolutely beautiful. Floating high above the gorge, we soaked in the views without having to fling ourselves off anything or be rescued mid‑air.
